One Fish, Two Fish, Make A 25th Birthday Wish!

Colin had a couple of days off at the end of March and that was when I planned his 25th birthday festivities. One of the things we did was go to the Dallas World Aquarium. It is a fun in-doors activity that we enjoy and the baby LOVES! As you know, she has a fish tank in her room and spends time every day talking to the fish, trying to share her pacifiers with the fish, and showing them her toys. I wish you could see the look on her face when she stands in front of the floor to ceiling fish tanks at the aquarium! Shear amazement......I think she also wonders if those fish would like to share a pacifier.

When you first walk into the aquarium there is a little river that the penguins can swim. It eventually leads down to a penguin area....more on that later.

ZS spent quite a bit of time sitting in front of this large floor to ceiling tank. It has large turtles, manatees, and random huge fish.

Zoe Scout really enjoyed the tanks with the colorful Caribbean fish in them. Colin was so nice to lift her up over and over again as each tank had to be inspected multiple times but for only a few seconds each time.

One of the last stops in the aquarium is the penguin habitat. She loved yelling down to them and wanted to walk around their cage a couple of times.

She wasn't too sure about the albino turtle......

......luckily daddy walked away quickly.

The birds were especially intriguing because she doesn't get to see them close up in normal life.

This was Zoe Scout's favorite spot. She just sat and watched the waterfall.

The otter was also a big hit....she sat (along with lots of other children) by the tank and watched him swim by over and over again. The long blur in the tank is the otter.

I just thought these were cute......I was trying to get a smile out of her.
